I've been a barman for 15 years. I've worked everywhere from dive bars in New Orleans to fine dining in the Meat Packing District of Manhattan, and just about everywhere in between. My style of mixology tends to fall somewhere between the simplicity of the classics, spirit/sugar/juice/bitters, and the overdone, over thought cocktails that seem to be so prevalent these days. I like to steer my patrons away from the mundane but not attack their palate with something so complex they don't understand it, or couldn't recreate it at home.. I want to open minds to new (or old) and exciting things but keep them approachable enough that it's not too big a leap for the inexperienced cocktail drinker. I also love to take advantage of the amazing fresh ingredients available here in the Bay Area to give my cocktails a culinary approach. 209 has been one of all time favorite spirits since I first tasted it, and it means a lot to me to be associated with such a great product.
